CommandandConquer.com Overhaul to be Released Next Week!
Post by Sledgehammer70 on
The new Commandandconquer.com is the beginning of a new direction for your Command & Conquer online web experience, and it’s truly what I feel will be the first place C&C can officially call “HOME” from our side here. The site will be launched in a few phases, and will go live just before Red Alert 3 releases, sometime next week. Our new franchise site is going to support news and media for all 3 C&C Universes: Tiberium, Red Alert, and Generals. It’ll be home to all your C&C 3, Kane’s Wrath, and Red Alert 3 stats, official C&C news, videos, C&C TV, and plenty more. And of course, we’ll be building in support for our community and your sites as we evolve and move forward.
In the midst of the overhaul EA is also launching new forums so you will need to create a new account once the change happens.

Comrades, Strike Team and Electronic Arts Los Angeles are teaming up for the next 3 months to host the first official EA sponsored Red Alert 2 Ladder Tournament in over 5 years! What better way to get pumped up and excited for Red Alert 3 than to kick it old school with the Soviets and Allies in some good old fashioned Red Alert 2 action! This ladder tournament will be officially hosted by Strike-Team using the XWIS servers (the official EA sponsored WOL servers for Red Alert 2), with all prizes sponsored by Electronic Arts Los Angeles and the Red Alert 3 development team!

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Interview
Post by brian_177 on March 17th, 2008
Hoping for new information on the upcoming EA game "Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3", IGN went to Executive Producer Chris Corry to snag an interview.
A sample for you all to enjoy:
"IGN: Tell us about the setting and the story, and is it directly related or connected to the events of the last game, or is it a completely different timeline?
Chris Corry: I touched on that time travel theme. The events that kick off Red Alert 3 really come back to that. Our story opens with the Allies and the Soviets going at it again, but this time the Allies have beaten the Soviets back and have the upper hand. The Soviet leadership is cowering behind the walls of the Kremlin; their defeat is imminent and all but certain. At that point, sort of crazed with desperation, the leadership descends into the bowels of the Kremlin into their secret labs where they have this skunk works project going on. They fire up this prototype of this device which is a time machine that's never been used before. And their intention is to go back in time and erase Albert Einstein from the timeline. Of course, Albert Einstein in the previous games has been instrumental in the technological advances that made the Allies so successful..."
With information on many aspects of the game, this interview is definitely worth a read. If you're interested, and you should be, you can find the entire interview
